Our course layout is a true gem, offering players of every age and skill 18 unique challenges. Play weaves through natural terrain, meandering streams and stately trees. This is not a cookie cutter, flat, front-to-black sloped green, same old track.
At Bridgewater players find four beautiful par 3s and a delicate mix of doglegs left and right. There are some straightaway fours and fives. Greens that allow bump-and-runs or high lob wedges with fair, fast greens that test the eye and nerve of any handicap. Four sets of tees put all players to an equal, beautiful test.
Prepare yourself for an unparalleled golfing experience. Our course is a pleasure for golfers of any skill level to play. Test your accuracy with our fairways, water hazards and sand traps; we have everything you need to challenge you and improve your game.
Founded in 1925, Bridgewater Country Club began as Erie Downs Golf and Country Club, designed and built by the renowned golf course architect Stanley Thompson. Known for its challenging layout, our course quickly became a favorite in the Niagara Region and Western New York.
Significant Milestones include hosting the Ontario Open in 1940, a prestigious event won by the golfing legend Sam Snead. The club had the honor of hosting this tournament again in 1993, marking important chapters in our history.
